Andrew Lloyd (Chair)

Andrew has enjoyed a career in local government spanning over 40 years. He retired in 2016 from his last position as Chief Executive after 20 years in the role.

He currently Chairs a local Clinical Commissioning Group and is a Trustee of Reading Force - a national charity aimed at putting reading at the heart of families, with a particular focus on bringing Armed Forces children and families closer together through a shared joy of reading books. He is also a Board Member of Enterprise First Ltd, a not for profit company providing free advice to start-up businesses across Surrey, Hampshire and Kent, and a Trustee with the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust.

Andrew has long had a passion for education and skill having served as Vice Chairman of the former Hampshire and Isle of Wight Learning and Skills Council for many years and also a former Vice Chairman of Farnborough College of Technology.

Andrew has had a long association with The Sixth Form College Farnborough including serving on the Corporation as Chair of the Search and Remuneration Committee until it became an Academy within The Prospect Trust.

Gemma Foster

Gemma is the Diocesan Member representative for the Prospect Trust.  Having been in church leadership since 2004, Gemma was ordained in 2015 and became the Rector of Cove in 2019.  As part of this role, Gemma is Chair of Trustees for the Cove Educational Trust which supports eight schools in the parish.

After a long career in secondary schools, Bill spent ten years as a Director at SSAT, leading its work on the academies programmes, and the government’s Academy Support Programme.

Bill Watkin

After a long career in secondary schools, Bill spent ten years as a Director at SSAT, leading its work on the academies programmes, and the government’s Academy Support Programme.  While at SSAT, Bill was also occupied with government policy initiatives and developments, considering their implications for schools, particularly in the context of curriculum, assessments, qualifications and accountability.

In 2016, Bill took up the position of Chief Executive of the Sixth Form Colleges Association which sets out to represent, promote and support all dedicated 16-19 sixth form providers and which is the voice of sixth form education.

Bill has published a French text book and a number of titles about big issues in education. Bill also sits on a number of boards and is Chair of one Multi Academy Trust and a Member of another.

Bill was awarded a CBE for services to education in 2024.

Andrew Needham (Chair of Trustees)

Andrew chairs our Board of Trustees, having previously served as Chair of The Sixth Form College Farnborough, now an academy within The Prospect Trust. A Chartered Accountant by profession, Andrew has spent his career working with leading businesses, developing the commercial skills and capabilities of executives from new graduates to main board leaders.

Andrew brings his commercial experience and energy to help shape the Trust’s future success across all aspects of its operation and performance.
