Nasen Awards 2024!

Many congratulations to Gemma Grout who was nominated and has won the award for Support Practitioner of the Year in the Nasen Awards (National Association for Special Educational Needs)! Gemma wasn’t able to attend the awards ceremony in person (held in Birmingham on Friday, 7 October 2024), but you can watch a video clip played to everyone at the ceremony here.  I’m sure you will want to join me in congratulating Gemma on her well deserved award, a prime example of meeting our Strategic Priority #4: Unrivalled Academic and Pastoral Support

Exceptional students’ achievements honoured at Trust Awards event

23 students from across the Trust’s three schools (The Farnborough Sixth Form College, Tomlinscote School and Frimley C of E School) received awards for their exceptional achievements at the first ever CEO’s Awards event for The Prospect Trust on the evening of Wednesday 26th June. Around 100 students, family members, staff, Trustees and AQC members attended this prestigious event, which will now take place annually. Andy Yarrow, Trust CEO, hosted the event and, along with the three Principals, presented students with their certificates and awards. It was moving to hear about what each student had accomplished in order to be selected for their award. The Guest of Honour, former College Principal and Founding CEO of the Trust, Simon Jarvis, then gave an inspirational address.  The award categories were:

  • The Prospect Trust Award for Exceptional Academic Progress
  • The Prospect Trust Award for Exceptional Transformation in personal attitude to learning
  • The Prospect Trust Award for Exceptional Extra-Curricular Achievement
  • The Prospect Trust Award for Outstanding Student Leadership
  • The Prospect Trust Award for Exceptional Service to the School / College community
  • The Prospect Trust Award for Exceptional Kindness to Others

Congratulations to all of these students for being selected from almost 6,000 students to receive these awards!
